Already a household name amongst gamblers and sports bettors the world over, the new and improved Caesars Sportsbook is now available in New Jersey. In August 2021 Caesars Sportsbook absorbed William Hill, which was one of the first sportsbooks to launch in the state of NJ, adopting all of the popular European bookmaker’s bells and whistles. Caesars Sportsbook, like William Hill before it, is licensed to accept legal wagers in the state of New Jersey through the Monmouth Park race track’s license.
As for its online app, Caesars Sportsbook offers decent betting lines and an easy-to-navigate user interface. There’s a growing lineup of promotions and banking choices, plus a welcome offer that dwarfs the competition. Utilize our exclusive Caesars Sportsbook bonus code to earn the largest possible bonus. When you sign up for your account at Caesars Sportsbook NJ using the links on this page and the NJOG1000 bonus code, you can get up to $1,000 back in bonus bets if your first bet loses.
How it works
When you register a new account using one of the many links on this page and enter bonus code NJOG1000, you will receive up to $1,000 in bonus bet credits if your first bet comes up short. Simply create an account and within 30 days, make an initial real money wager on any sports market or bet type of at least $50 or more. If your first bet wins, great! You’re on your way with some extra money in your account. If your first bet comes up short, Caesars will refund the entire amount, up to $1,000 in the form of bet credits that can be used on a future wager.Â
When wagered, the value of the bonus bet credits won’t be included in any potential earnings. For example, if you wager a $250 bonus bet at +100 and win, you would get back $250 (the profit from the bet). It would not pay out $500 (profit + original stake), like a normal cash wager would. Furthermore, players will have 14 days to wager their bonus bet credit before it expires.
You’ll also want to check the certain terms of the bonus when claiming the Caesars Sportsbook promo code.
What’s to like about Caesars NJ Sportsbook?
- Valuable welcome bonus: Caesars offers a lucrative welcome bonus that ranks amongst the best NJ sports betting promos in the state.
- Solid lines: With all the competition in New Jersey, Caesars Sportsbook understands that savvy players often shop around for the best lines. In this area, Caesars offers players more value, often setting lines more favorable than its competitors.
- Easy-to-use mobile app: The Caesars mobile app boasts an elegant design and is packed with nearly all the features you’ll find at its flagship online website. Make bets, deposit and withdraw cash, contact support via live chat and more, all within the app.
What’s not so great?
Caesars Sportsbook has gained a somewhat infamous reputation for either limiting the bets of players it believes to be big winners or simply banning them from betting altogether. The company has denied this in a statement, however, and says that it usually only takes such action for specific reasons, like account sharing, betting on behalf of others, screen scraping, or being offensive to staff.
Caesars Sportsbook NJ software overview
Caesars Sportsbook is available virtually anywhere players have Internet connectivity in New Jersey. Gamblers can place bets through the main desktop website, which can be accessed via any modern web browser, or also through an iOS or Android app.
The company’s main website is pretty bare-bones, and doesn’t feature the types of fun design elements that we have seen on sites like SugarHouse, which displays a lively real-time feed of big winners along a scrolling sidebar.
The webpage is a bit sparse, though clean. When you first hit the site everything will have a white background. However, after logging in you can toggle the theme to the optional dark mode. They both work the same, it’s just about preference.
On the page, you’ll find all of the site’s betting markets running down the left sidebar, with specific bets populating inside the main body of the window. At the top, the site displays a revolving banner which shows the latest and greatest promos, events and odds. On the right sidebar, you’ll find your bet slip, which begins to fill whenever you start placing your wagers.
For those new to sports betting, Caesars Sportsbook offers a nice feature in the top right navigation which allows viewers to change the odds format from American odds, to either decimal or fraction odds.
The minimalistic design, which looks a bit bare on the desktop site, actually lends itself well to the mobile app, due to the limited screen real estate. The app comes with most of the features you can expect to have access to when playing on your desktop, so you can easily use a smartphone or tablet as your main device. Feel free to play anywhere you like, as long as you are located inside the state of New Jersey.
Banking options
When it first launched as William Hill the cashier options were somewhat sparse. However, as Caesars Sportsbook, they have pretty much everything you could hope for. Here are your current options for making deposits:
- Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit/debit cards: Some issuing banks do not support these payments, so keep that in mind. Can’t be used for withdrawals.
- Online banking: Hook your bank account to your Caesars Sports account. Basically all major banks participate – if you can set up online bill-pay through your bank, you can use this deposit method.
- ACH (eCheck): Send an instant check by establishing a connection from Caesars Sportsbook to your online checking account.
- Caesars Prepaid Card: Load up funds onto a Discover-branded prepaid card using your checking account, or via your Visa/MasterCard. These cards, which you don’t need to possess physically, feature one of the highest acceptance rates around.
- PayNearMe: Bring cash to your local 7Eleven, CVS, or Family Dollar and you can deposit in person after starting the process online.
- PayPal: PayPal has had remarkable staying power in the world of online payments. That old account you created years ago can still be used to fund your sports betting account.
- Skrill: Use your Skrill eWallet account to shift funds to your Caesars Sportsbook account.
- Cash at the cage: Deposit cash directly at one of the cashier’s cages at one of Caesars Sportsbook’s partner casinos/tracks.
Withdrawal options are less numerous, though it’s not hard to get paid. eChecks, online banking, PayPal, and the Caesars Prepaid card can all be used to take money off the book. You can also request to pick up cashier live, at the sportsbook’s partner casino.
Betting lines at Caesars Sportsbook New Jersey
For all of its faults, Caesars does have a leg up on many of its New Jersey competitors when it comes to lines. Throughout several seasons and events, we have noticed more favorable lines offered at Caesars Sportsbook, compared to those set by other sites.
For instance, Caesars will commonly offer the most favorable MLB money lines in the market. For example, we observed a +120 / -130 (10-cent) money line, versus an average of +115 / -135 elsewhere. MLB run lines are typically 20-cent (i.e. -110 / -110), as are totals, which is nothing to get excited about, but fair.
Money lines for other professional sports, including NBA and NFL, also trend favorable relative to the rest of the market, sometimes by a wide margin. Two-team parlays at -110 pay +260, while three-leggers net +600 if they hit, which is just a touch better than the +595 offered at sites like FanDuel Sportsbook.
Futures offerings, for their part, are mostly on par with what’s widely available at other sites. And of the props that are offered (sometimes there aren’t many), the pricing is typically better than average market value, with 20-cent lines on even money bets the norm.
Key markets at Caesars Sportsbook NJ
Caesars Sports offers largely the same generalized betting markets as its competitors, spreading bets on events in 10 categories:
- Auto racing
- Baseball
- Basketball
- UFC/MMA
- Football
- Golf
- Hockey
- Other (Rugby, Cricket)
- Soccer
- Tennis
Game selection at Caesars Sportsbook NJ
You’ll find most of your favorite betting types at Caesars Sportsbook along with in-play bets, but not many niche options like Play SugarHouse’s Jackpot Parlay quick pick cards, or PointsBet’s spread betting (Pointsbetting) format.
A partial list of the popular formats found on the app are as follows:
- Money line
- Totals
- Point spread (and run lines for MLB)
- Parlays
- Futures
- Props
- Teasers
- Round robin
Caesars Sportsbook app offers up a decent number of individual formats that is on par with other Garden State books. While once seen as a major shortcoming when set side-by-side with competitors, Caesars Sportsbook has improved.
Caesars Sportsbook NJ bonuses
Aside from the sign-up bonus we outlined above, Caesars does offer a smattering of promotions, some centered during key games and tournaments. Here are a few which we have seen run in the past:
- Odds boosts – where the operator selects a few wagers every night (typically props) and offers enhanced odds on them.
- Reload bonuses – Caesars matches your deposit with a bonus, up to a certain percentage and dollar amount.
- Big Bet Bonus – Wager the required amount and receive a corresponding bonus. For example, make a $500 bet, get a $200 bonus.
- Double Your Winnings – wager on the specific day’s game and if your side wins, they’ll match your winnings. Usually capped around $50 or so.
In the future, we hope to see more promos like paying out bets on one side of the action before events have even happened. This type of stunt has been known to drum up some nice publicity for competitor sites and is a fun and welcome surprise for gamblers.Â
Speaking of publicity, Caesars’ previous iteration, William Hill, received huge mainstream exposure in 2019 when a sports bettor won $1.2 mm after placing a longshot bet on Tiger Woods to win The Masters. From there the story got even stranger when the man claimed that it was the first sports bet he had ever made. The marketing win faded a bit in the aftermath, though, when it was uncovered that the bettor had a somewhat unsavory past and had used most of his savings to make the wild bet.
Loyalty program
Caesars Rewards, the brand’s comprehensive brick-and-mortar loyalty program, now extends online. Every wager you make on Caesars Sportsbook NJ will count towards your VIP status.Â
Bettors will earn 1 Reward Credit for every $5 of potential profit on sports bets placed (capped at 10x the stake). Therefore if you’re placing long shot parlays with massive odds against, you’ll be receiving proportionally more Reward Credit. However, your odds of actually winning those bets are low.
The more Reward Credits you earn, the higher you climb in the Caesars structure. Tier levels will reset on January 1 of each year.
- Gold: 0 – 4,999 Tier Credits
- Platinum: 5000 – $14,999 Tier Credits
- Diamond: 15,000 – 24,999 Tier Credits
- Diamond Plus: 25,000 – 74,999 Tier Credits
- Diamond Elite: 75,000 – 150,000 Tier Credits
- Seven Stars: 150K+ Tier Credits
Bettors can redeem their Tier Credits for casino free plays, spa treatments, meals at participating restaurants, entertainment opportunities like show tickets, hotel stays, and more.
Caesars Sportsbook customer support
If you have any issues, you can reach out to Caesars Sportsbook customer support, available 24/7. At the bottom of the sportsbook there is a ‘Contact Us’ button, along with ‘Live Chat’, and ‘Help’. They’re all useful. Generally speaking you can reach support the following ways:

More on Caesars Sportsbook in New Jersey
Caesars Sportsbook’s path to becoming a New Jersey sports betting powerhouse began in Nevada with William Hill. The UK brand merged three of its bookmaking businesses in the state, forming William Hill US in 2012. There it has captured a large chunk of the market, operating in over 100 of the state’s 190 casinos.
Since 1992, the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act had limited full-scale sports betting mostly to Nevada. That law was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2018, paving the way for individual states to legalize sports betting. But even before that fateful decision, William Hill was already pushing to expand into New Jersey, forging a partnership with Monmouth Park racetrack in 2013.
Once the SCOTUS ruling came down, William Hill was well-prepared and chomping at the bit to open up shop. In June, soon after state lawmakers passed a sports betting bill, the track welcomed Gov. Phil Murphy to place the first legal sports bet in New Jersey history.
William Hill didn’t stop there, and continued to expand in not only NJ, but in other states looking to legalize the industry.
While it runs its own brick-and-mortar sportsbook at Monmouth Park, it uses the track’s license to offer its own online site and mobile app.
It later struck a deal to power the sportsbook at Ocean Casino, which opened in late June 2018, and is considered to be one of the most luxurious in the state.
Four months later, it opened yet another branded sportsbook at Atlantic City’s Tropicana, and in March 2019 a luxurious 5,000 sq. foot permanent book was unveiled at the Trop.
Caesars acquires William Hill
In April 2021 Caesars Entertainment completed a roughly $4 billion acquisition of the William Hill brand. Capitalizing on the new asset’s sports betting strengths, Caesars rebranded the William Hill sports betting site and mobile app as Caesars Sportsbook in August 2021.
Caesars Sportsbook is now one of the largest sports betting providers not only in New Jersey, but throughout the United States.
Caesars Sportsbook Verdict
Bottom Line
Caesars Sportsbook, formerly William Hill, is one of the top sports betting brands in the world. The site boasts a feature rich mobile app, solid lines, and lucrative promotions that offer real value. With the new, fresh branding, significant ad spend, and a host of exciting promotions, Caesars Sportsbook is here to stay.
