After seemingly decades of FUBAR play on the field, the new-look New York Jets are hoping to continue their turnaround by welcoming the forthcoming Fubo Sportsbook as the team’s official sports betting partner.
Expected to launch in New Jersey in Q4 — a time usually reserved for Jets fans to head back to their cars to beat Turnpike traffic — Fubo Sportsbook is also readying for launch in Iowa, Arizona, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. This marks the first sponsorship deal for the Chicago-based operation.
And not only will the sportsbook be sponsoring the team, the company will also be building out the Fubo Sportsbook Lounge at MetLife Stadium, set to debut next season.
“The New York Jets is a leading sports organization with a strong base of enthusiastic and loyal fans, and we strongly believe in the future success of the team,” Scott Butera, the president of Fubo Gaming, said in a press release. “We are excited to be their partner in offering this community a truly unique sports betting and entertainment experience. The Fubo Sportsbook is designed to meet the increased demand for interactivity by integrating real-time sports streaming with personalized wagering experiences. The Fubo Sportsbook will also have the ability to leverage first-party data to understand viewing preferences and provide relevant bet recommendations.”
The 7,000-square-foot Fubo Sportsbook Lounge will be open to fans 21 and over, and will be designed in the classic casino-style sportsbook motif. In addition to being able to place wagers at the sportsbook, fans will be able to watch every NFL game while enjoying the view of the Jets on the field.
“This partnership with Fubo Sportsbook is another major step for the New York Jets in our journey to prioritize engagement with our fan base, including the enhancement of their overall stadium experience on game day,” Jeff Fernandez, the Jets’ vice president of business development and ventures, said in the release. “With Fubo Sportsbook, Jets fans will be treated to their innovative mobile viewing and wagering platform, which will be brought to life at the dynamic new Fubo Sportsbook Lounge.”
The Jets kick off the 2021 season Sunday at 1 p.m. with a road game against the Carolina Panthers before coming home for a tilt with the division rival New England Patriots.
