There’s Now Even More Ways To View Live Dealer Roulette At NJ Online Casinos

Both Golden Nugget Casino and Betfair Casino have expanded their Live Dealer offering. Well, sort of.

The pair of NJ online casinos went live with a Multiview Roulette table this week, which is really just their traditional Live Dealer Roulette game with more camera angles.

Introducing Multiview Roulette

The assumption is that Multiview Roulette was introduced to provide players with a more immersive gaming experience, and to that end, it succeeds.

Players will enjoy three playing angles. The first is a straight ahead shot that displays in between betting rounds. Once the ball gets rolling, players will be treated to an overhead shot that zooms in as the ball nears its final resting spot. This shot in particular works well, as it enables players to see the wheel in a way that they cannot even at a brick & mortar casino.

All other facets of the game are identical to the traditional Live Dealer Roulette table, including:

  • Hours of operation: 3 p.m. – 3 a.m
  • Bet spread: $1 – $2,000
  • Rules: American Roulette rules, meaning the wheel features both a 0 and a 00, amounting to a return of 94.76%

It is worth noting that both Betfair and Golden Nugget do offer European Roulette as well, but only in digital form. This variant only features one zero, and thus, a significantly lower house edge of 2.7%.

However, European Roulette players won’t be able to enjoy the benefits of Live Dealer, which include social interaction toolsreal playing devices, and real life dealers.

Foreshadowing the future

While on its own, the introduction of Multiview Roulette is mostly a novelty and not a notable expansion of the Live Dealer rollout, it does illustrate both Betfair’s and Golden Nugget’s commitment to its network exclusive vertical.

Players should expect more meaty changes in relatively short order, especially now that the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement had authorized the Bet Behind feature at the Live Dealer Blackjack tables.

This feature will allow players waiting for a seat to get in on the action, by betting on the outcomes of other players’ hands.

Going further, it wouldn’t surprise if the duo added more unique products. Internationally, it isn’t uncommon to see both Casino Hold’em and a variation of the Big Wheel featured on more mature Live Dealer sites.
