The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has slapped Caesars with a $46,000 fine for employing 17 people in numerous positions in various departments without the employees having the proper casino registrations.
Additionally, there were dozens of other infractions regarding employment the DGE found in its investigation of Caesars’ operations.
The 17 workers were employed in accounting, anti-money laundering, compliance, information technology, and marketing, according to the documents released by the DGE.
All told, 68 employees were not properly registered as casino employees.
Over the course of the past few months, many of those not properly registered were either fired or retired, and licensing was brought up to date for the remaining 46 employees.
